Hi and welcome to Ali Asana Yoga…

Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step with me on your wonderful Yoga journey. Whether you are a seasoned yogi and want to build strength and skill, or a complete beginner looking to enhance your life, I can promise you I will work towards your goals and life style choices.

I am a fun loving, free spirited, happy yogi, committed to sharing my passions with you and I have many. I truly believe Yoga is for everyone inclusive of age, gender, religion, ethnic background and shape, but more importantly ability.

I will coach, help and encourage you to be the best version of you by sharing my life experience, passions, knowledge, friendship and sense of humour. In all my classes you will find me compassionate, honest and supportive, if not a little challenging, in a good way! 

I encourage you to come and practise with me, I will be your biggest fan and cheer leader. The hardest step is coming through the front door, but I assure you once you arrive you will be welcomed with an open heart, a friendly face and a new exciting opportunity. In my previous life I taught beauty and holistic therapy for over 20 years. I was Head of Faculty for service industries in a college before moving to Devon two years ago to run our bed and breakfast and pursue my yoga further. I am committed to healthy eating, cooking and living a happy balanced lifestyle and yes, that does include alcohol and some meat if you are wondering! I also offer massage therapies that will support and complement your journey. Please see my therapies web page for specific treatments and issues I can help you manage.

I love to walk my dog in all weathers (It’s Devon!), eat out, cook, learn new things, travel, read, talk (sorry), explore and generally live life to the full. I believe that happiness is not a natural human state, but should and can be achieved with the right commitment and a little help along the way.

If you are on your happiness journey like me, or need some encouragement to stay on the right track, I’m your girl.  COME ON YOU DESERVE TO BE HAPPY, BECAUSE YOU’RE WORTH IT. I can’t promise it will be easy, but I can promise that I’d love to share your journey and encourage you along the way.

Why should I do Yoga?

There are so many benefits of doing yoga. Yoga helps you improve and maintain the health of muscles, joints and organs. It keeps your mind healthy and will give you  a better night’s sleep. Yoga will improve performance and prevent injuries in sports as well as speed recovery from training. Choose an option that suits you...

Beginners

This class is suitable for complete beginners, returning students, people recovering from illness, trauma or grief, those who need to slow down and reduce their stress levels, and those who are looking to improve their work and  lifestyle  balance.

Dynamic

This class is suitable for regular yoga students, people of moderate fitness levels and experienced yogis looking to improve and maintain their practice, or move to the next level. During this class you will experience a more a challenging practise.

One to One

Suitable for all levels and abilities. These sessions are designed for you, with you.
You will have a full in-depth consultation about what you are looking to achieve and why. Sessions are confidential and given in your own home or outdoors should you prefer.

Bespoke

For people having individual needs that don’t want to join public classes.
A 2 hour session that can be tailored to your requirements. In this session you can adapt and change the time  to include a therapeutic massage  as well as your yoga practice.
